A Wiki can serve as a collaboration and/or content management tool.

Collaboration, on the creation and management of information, makes the most of its unique capabities.

Collaborative Activities

Features that support collaboration:

  • group editing
  • history and version tracking
  • communication (suggestions, feeback, questions, explanations, etc) through Talk pages
  • ability to revert to an earlier version
  • ease of use

For example:

* Resource page contributions (students contribute and organize various resources to support a topic)

* Group writing projects (for example, see the two course wikis below)

WMST 250
FREN 306
